Shiki's Japanese Restaurant is one of those hidden gems, sitting in the middle of the crowd waiting to be found. The place is literally tiny inside, with a room count of probably about 50 or less, and the place is run by a family who's own the place for a very long time. Quality over quantity, Shiki's is a restaurant that is more leaning on the quantity side but not completely off the quality side, which is not a bad thing! The quality of their sashimi is alright but if you're craving an appetite, Shiki's is your go to for heavy quantity Japanese food--for a very good price! The types of food here are more on the cuisine side so don't be expecting too many different types of sushi rolls served here. You'll instead find multiple donburis, bento boxes, and more authentic Japanese cuisine here. I've ordered their combo dinners here several times and every time that I've been here, I've been stuffed to the brim yet wanting more the next day.
If you're a more bento-box--or just best bang for your buck Japanese food--kind of person, you will definitely like trying out Shiki's. I would highly recommend it and I will definitely be coming back for more. -

I have been eating on and off here since 2003. It's the same couple running this restaurant for almost 30 years. This is a wonderful fast food style Japanese restaurant. They provide a great meal at an honest value. I found the portions to be substantial and the service never fails to be excellent. I love their chicken teriyaki with potsticker combos! Having moved back to the area again I'm excited to rediscover this gem! Anyone in the area should give this place a try.

A Cottle block gem - despite that is not look like the cutest place in the world do not sleep on it!! Not only is the food delicious but the quantities are HUGE. Their bento boxes last me two meals. They don't have a large selection of sushi but they have a lot of different bento box combinations. I have truly never been at a place with such unbeatable prices in relation to quantity. I came here once a few weeks ago and have been back every week! A must try.

It's a mom & pop store! Wait is a little long, but food is good. It's a restaurant turned into fast food style where you order 1st then sit down & bus your own table once you're done. I liked my cold soba with tempura & California rolls combo. Definitely would get the California rolls again... so good.
